This weekend ranked pretty high on the 'weekend scale', if there is such a thing!
Thursday, I went to see Titanic in 3D. Let me preface this by saying I have only ever seen Titanic once and I was young and couldn't even sit through the sinking part because I was so scared. By the time I got out of this sitting, however, I had cried multiple times and from multiple emotions. Such a great movie - and whomever disagrees with me needs to go watch it in 3D - it was fantastic!
Friday, my friend Mandy (you remember
Mandy?) had her 21st birthday party at
Ultrabar in DC - so much fun!
This night had to include a late night Chinatown McDonalds run - complete with 20 chicken nuggets!
Saturday, I had a wonderful blogger meet-up with my gorgeous friend
Raquel. This girl and I have been facebooking, twittering and texting for a few months now since we finally met at
Blogger Blitz back in December - it was so lovely to see a fellow DC blogger at a wonderful dinner.
We had Bertucci's and it the most amazing thing ever. We both unashamedly ate our whole plates - exactly like girls should do when they hang out ;)
I also had a Watermelon Mint Mojito (I'm still loving being able to drink when I'm eating dinner - being 21 is the best!) However, this was the most disgusting drink I have ever had (and I'm in college so I've had some pretty disgusting drinks. Therefore, it's really saying something when I say this one was so gross) Luckily, the waitress comp'd me and I totally didn't have to pay for it - this cute drink was so deceiving!
I recently become a UMD Tour Guide (Go Terps!) We're switching over to give a new route next semester, so we spent Sunday walking around campus and learning said route. It was so much fun to hang out with these guys - I love having non-theatre major friends sometimes.
How was your weekend?
Titanic is one long movie! Glad you enjoyed it this go around. When I saw it for the first time I was about 14 years old so I remember it and cried then. =) PS - I use to live in the DC area! I miss it sometimes. xoxo A-
ReplyDeleteSuch a deceiving drink!! Go with a mango mojito next time. It surely will NOT disappoint :) At least the nuggets at McDonald's never leave you hangin! They are always completely satisfying (when you don't think about what's in them!) haha
ReplyDeleteWow, I was just looking at the picture and thinking "That drink looks amazing!"...then I scrolled down to read that it was terrible! Boooo. :(
ReplyDeleteWould you believe that I have never seen Titanic!?
Ahh it was SO fun!! we need to do it again soon!
ReplyDeleteI wish that drink hadn't been so horrible! :(
Dang, your DC adventures look like so much fun! I'm pretty envious!
ReplyDeleteAnd too bad on the drink, when I saw watermelon and mojito I would totally have squealed as well! haha
Aww looks like a fabulous weekend! I am sorta tempted to see Titanic but just not sure about it but maybe I'll have to see if the bf wnts to take me. Haha, and that watermelon mojito looks delicious but that's funny it wasn't!!! Hahaha!!! And wow, oh the days of feeling newly 21... haha now I feel old & I'm only 23... :)
ReplyDeleteTitanic is one of my all-time favorite movies. I'm been a slightly obsessive Titanic since I was 7 or 8...I was 13(I think?) when the movie came out and I saw it 3 times in the theater. I drug my husband to see it the weekend it opened in 3D. I LOVED it, but he complained the whole time because it wasn't really 3D. I mean, it is a 15 year old movie--there is only so much you can do! He even took a flask of JD in with him to add to his coke. hmph. I told him, more than the 3D, I just liked being able to see one of my favorite movies on the big screen again!
ReplyDeleteSorry for the novel!
Sounds like a pretty fantastic weekend! I love meeting up with blogging buds turned real life friends :)
ReplyDeleteI agree that it's a good movie...but it's just so sad! I HATE crying in movies! Sounds like a super fun weekend though!
ReplyDeleteThat cute drink is so deceiving! I was a UMD Tour Guide, I loved doing that :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog the other day. That watermelon drink looks so yummy and refreshing!
