NYC here i come!

It's here. The weekend I have been working towards for all of January. Tomorrow morning I will be heading to New York City to go to the U/RTA conference where I will be auditioning for graduate schools all across the country.
It's definitely intimidating, to say the least.
If I am being honest with you, I will tell you that I am absolutely terrified. I've worked hard over the past month to feel ready and I don't think there is too much else I could do.
Regardless of how my auditions go, I've decided to make a weekend out of it. Since my birthday is next Thursday, I knew I wanted to see a show in the city. It is just bizarre fate that my free night in the city also coordinated with the Phantom of the Opera on Broadway's 25th Anniversary show. I went to the 20th Anniversary show five years ago and I very much wanted to go to this one as well. However, tickets weren't on sale to the public and the public ones that were on sale were released through a contest that I did not win.
That was fine with me - I was just going to go and see something else (as I've seen Phantom 9 other times!). Until they released 20 tickets for sale first-come first-serve last Thursday and I managed to get one.
AHHH.
The Broadway nerd is me is excited and it definitely will be a good motivator for me this weekend. I plan on meeting up with a few friends that have graduated from UMD as well before heading back late Monday night and going right into rehearsal for the show that I am in this semester and then celebrating my birthday next weekend.
I love being busy :)
So here's to taking a deep breath and doing the best that I can and letting fate take over for the rest :)
