The one thing I have learned over the past (almost!) four years of college is that it is expensive. I am lucky enough to have scholarships that have helped me out but my scholarship has only covered tuition. Because of that I was solely responsible for my living and housing expenses. My parents were kind enough to help out for the past three years but this year, my senior year, I was all on my own, friends.
So, I was lucky that places like
Wells Fargo Community were around to help me with financial planning. The WFC is an online forum where you can ask questions and share knowledge about financial topics. It's a place to get help and help others in a convenient and safe environment - which is perfect for college student because then you get the ability to ask questions without needing to make an appt. with anyone (which means it fits into your busy schedule!).
Additionally, the community is free to participate in (if there is a poor person in this world, it's definitely college kids... so another amazing benefit of WFC!). In fact, you don't even need to be a member to browse and learn from discussions! (but if you want to post you totally will need to sign up - but don't worry! It's easy. I promise!)
Why should you join? Instead of me talking at you, read this list. It's more informative than I could ever be :)
- People with different backgrounds and experiences have joined the community so you can get a variety of perspectives.
- You can learn from specialists.
- We want to get you a lot of helpful and accurate nformation so we encourage participation from the community, review all posts and, in many cases, chime in ourselves (WHICH IS SO COOL AND EVEN BETTER, RIGHT!?)
- Our community guidelines insist on constructive communications and we make sure our members are respectful.
- You can help others!
So. WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? If you're a college kid like me who is worried about finances (aren't we all!?) or a parent who is just looking for some help (I KNOW YOU'RE OUT THERE!) then try it out! I promise you won't regret it!!
this is kind of cool. i used them when i consolidated my student loans and they are always so helpful!
