But now that we're in tech, I promise I'm back to stay! I swear!
A few weeks ago, I headed to NYC for grad school auditions. It was an...emotional weekend to say the least. I cried from happiness, I cried from sadness, I laughed, smiled and slept too much. It was a fantastic birthday weekend, to say the least.
Here's how the trip went:
I headed up on Saturday the 28th. Checked into my hotel and ran over to the Majestic Theatre where I saw the 25th Anniversary Performance of The Phantom of the Opera. I died. It was everything I have ever wanted. A cast with Sierra Boggess as my favorite character followed by a curtain call containing all sorts of Broadway people like Cameron MacKintosh, Hal Prince, Ramin Karimloo and (excuse me while I cry again. Because I honestly cried when she stepped onstage. Like tears-streaming-down-my-face-lady-in-front-of-me-had-to-ask-if-I-was-OK-because-I-was-breathing-so-hard-because-the-woman-who-had-just-stepped-onstage-was-the-cornerstone-of-my-adolescence crying...it was bad) Sarah Brightman! I just....it was the best. That's all I can say about that :)
Regardless of what comes out of it, I can say this: What an amazing trip.

ReplyDelete21 hours? Dude you are a schooling beast. Seriously, that is hard stuff. I took 16 hours one semester and thought I was going to die. Lol.
ReplyDeleteYes, I want to know what you're auditioning for as well! Fingers crossed you get a call-back for something!
