mondavi wine & a giveaway

Please comment below to share your own story about supporting veterans and/or American-made products. I will select ONE reader to be entered into CK Mondavy's grand prize drawing by May 15. The grand prize is a $500 donation to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund in the winner's name!
In this day and age, we all know the importance of our military. They protect us tirelessly and fearlessly. When I moved to Virginia, I had no clue that I was moving into an area that has one of the biggest military presences in the area. Wherever I go now, I see people in uniform. I have had a few chances to meet with some of them and they are all so nice - they love with they do and they are all willing to sacrifice whatever it takes for the good of our county. Since I've lived here, I've worked hard to find many ways to support these selfless individuals and that can come in many forms such as supporting a company that supports our troops.
When Mondavi offered to send me two bottles of wine, I was like, "Duh. Sounds like a great night!" but I quickly realized that their message was more than just a good bottle of wine. They make sure that a percentage of each bottle that they sell (up to $50,000) goes to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund. The IFHF is completely funded by public donation and serves U.S. military personnel wounded or killed in service and their families.

Next time you are looking for a bottle of wine, whether it's for a dinner party or just for yourself, remember Monday. Not only are they a steal at $10/bottle, but they are one of the easiest ways to give back to our servicemen. And, honestly, when you are looking for a delicious bottle of wine, what could be better than that?

I was selected for this opportunity as a member of Clever Girls Collective and the content and opinions expressed here are all my own.
